Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in daily electrical tasks including layout, rough-in, and trim-out phases
- Supervise and support electricians and apprentices on job sites
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and blueprints
- Enforce IES Residential safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Cookordination with project managers, superintendents, builders, and team members
- Maintain accurate timekeeping, work orders, and material usage documentation
- Ensure installations meet IES quality standards and inspection requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience
- At least 1 year in a leadership or crew lead role
- Current New Mexico Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (Required)
- Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and residential wiring practices
- Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (Required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch for extended periods
- Climb ladders and work at heights
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Comfortable working outdoors in New Mexico weather conditions
Work Environment
- Active residential construction job sites
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, wind, and dust
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, and framed structures
- Use of ladders, scaffolding, and power tools
- Fast-paced production environment
