Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

TURN Community Services in Davis County is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for its Clinton Residential Program. This entry-level caregiving position offers a competitive wage of $16.50/hour plus a $600 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional, you support individuals with developmental disabilities in living their lives to the fullest and as independently as possible. Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals in daily living activities such as medication administration, hygiene, grooming, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping.
• Providing life skills training in areas such as financial management and behavior management.
• Helping individuals gain employment, build relationships, and find recreational activities they enjoy.
• Making sure to model appropriate social skills and behaviors.

Schedule

Job details vary depending on the shift:

• Job Details #1 - 35 hours/weekly: Mon. 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, Tues. 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, Wed. and Thurs. off, Friday 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, Saturday 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, Sun 2:00 pm-9:00 pm. Requires a driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive large vehicles.
• Job Details #2 - 30 hours/weekly: Mon. Off, Tues. 3:00 pm-10:30 pm, Wed. 3:00 pm-10:30p, Thurs and Fri off, Sat. 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, Sun 2:00 pm-10:00 pm. Requires a driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive large vehicles.
