Residential Direct Support Professional - Baltimore

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance, guidance, mentoring, coaching, and teaching in many life areas such as activities of daily living, personal care, life skills, community integration, and transportation navigation.
• Aid in the enjoyment of the life desired by the supported person and enhance their quality of life through excellent services.
• Direct support, interaction, and supervision of the supported persons, including all daily needs such as meals, personal care, transportation, leisure activities, community integration, medical needs, and medication administration.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required (one year of college preferred)
• One year of experience working with the population served
• Acceptable criminal background is mandatory
• CPR / First Aid, Mandt Systems, and medication technician certification must be up-to-date and valid
• No lifting restrictions
• Ability to transfer individuals, talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
