We have an exciting opening for a Residential Crisis Therapist at our crisis residential treatment facility on-site in Medford, Oregon. This position provides clinical services to individuals who are experiencing crisis and who are in need of short-term support and stabilization. The Residential Crisis Therapist performs crisis assessments and gives individual and group therapy sessions. This position also assists with the training and clinical oversight of the program's QMHA staff members, who provide 24-hour residential support to residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical services to individuals experiencing crisis and needing short-term support and stabilization.
• Performs crisis assessments and gives individual and group therapy sessions.
• Affords appropriate clinical treatment based on a strong working knowledge of the DSM-5.
• Assists with the training and clinical oversight of the program's QMHA staff members.
• Directs and offers appropriate clinical treatment.
• Aids clients with transition plans and case coordination.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registration.
• Must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• If not already registered as a QMHP through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), must be able to register within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Must have the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers; occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Unlicensed Therapists must be actively seeking or willing to obtain licensure.
• Successful applicants must have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Must have the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers; occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of the DSM-5.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of community resources to assist clients with transition plans and case coordination.

Pay

$6,000 - $7,250 per month DOE/Credentials. Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Full Time, Day)

About the Program

The Beckett Center is a 14-bed secure crisis residential treatment facility. This 24-hour program will serve as a diversion to the emergency room, and will offer a low stimulation, professionally staffed, therapeutic environment for those with mental health needs to safely and effectively de-escalate through appropriate interventions, supervision, and physical safeguards.
