About the Role

The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life by providing direct care, guidance, and skill-building support within residential and community-based settings. They assist individuals with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goal attainment while ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Residential Counselors serve as strong advocates for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service and support plans and play an active role in their implementation.
  • Provide support with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goal achievement.
  • Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed.
  • Implement activities that promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and the development of valued social roles.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
  • Review, complete, and maintain all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, required.
  • Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.

Pay

$20.00-$22.48 per hour, with additional hourly differentials available for certain positions based on skills, location, training, and program responsibilities.
