Residential Counselor - Part Time
About the Role
Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention training in a licensed intensive community residence program offering short-term crisis and stabilization housing to individuals with psychiatric diagnoses. The program delivers short-term residential support to persons exhibiting symptoms of mental illness who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis, aiming to address the cause of the crisis and avert or delay the need for acute psychiatric inpatient hospitalization or emergency room admission.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 1 year of experience working in a mental health setting OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
- Clean valid NY State Driver’s License.
- Fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.
Schedule
Part-Time Shifts: Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 3pm – 11pm.
