Residential Counselor (Livermore)

Responsibilities

• Client supervision at assigned facility.
• Serves and assists individuals in developing independent living skills and meeting rehabilitation goals.
• Maintains good judgment and emotional stability.
• Transports residents on outings.
• Cleans and cooks at assigned facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in the adult residential care industry preferred.
• At least one (1) year of Mental Health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.
• Ability to flex work hours as needed.
• Willing to work some weekends and overnight shifts.
• Possess strong interpersonal leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
• Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
• Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in an office environment.
