Residential Counselor

About the role

Adult Community Clinical Services is a Department of Mental Health funded service designed to deliver evidence-based interventions within a clinically focused model. Individuals served are diagnosed with mental illness or dual diagnosis and reside in their own homes, apartments, or in group living environments. Our services focus on helping people transition to a more independent environment while maximizing their natural supports by building skills and achieving personal goals. The teams are tight-knit, supportive, and multidisciplinary.

Residential Counselors support individuals to live as independently as possible, providing evidence-based treatment and care within a group living environment. They provide guidance, support, and perform various levels of activities of daily living. Counselors ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and the general cleanliness and safety of the physical site, helping individuals live a healthy, productive, and independent life. Counselors are strong advocates for those served, believe in the power of community, and acknowledge the importance of community integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a lead role in the daily implementation of those plans.
• Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
• Implement activities that create opportunities for the development of valued roles and personal relationships in the community.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

The organization recognizes skills, location, training, and population served in certain programs by offering an additional hourly differential. Ask your recruiter if this position qualifies for an additional hourly differential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Pay

$20.00/Hr. - $22.48/Hr.
