About the Role

We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at our Clear Vue Residential Treatment Home (RTH) in Springfield, Oregon. Clear Vue is a co-ed, 5-bed facility serving adults living with a mental illness, featuring private bedrooms and partial baths for all residents, as well as common living space. Downstairs bedrooms and baths are fully ADA-accessible.

The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, supporting individuals in developing appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning. This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit, with wages, benefits, and working conditions set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services and support to help individuals develop daily living skills and independent activities of daily living.
  • Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing, encouraging client participation.
  • Pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
  • Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services.
  • Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds, as well as frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
  • Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Requirements

  • Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred.
  • A dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135).
  • Driving is an essential function of this position. Applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.
  • Ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and occasionally use ladders, squat, or kneel.

Training Program

With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision to gain on-the-job experience. The program offers an accelerated training path toward QMHA certification.

Pay

$21.42–$22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

In addition to your base wage, CCS offers the following pay differentials, subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements:

  • Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this period.
  • Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.
  • Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

Schedule

Full-time, swing shift: Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
