About the role
Responsible for projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration, managing van stock and tools, meeting with project managers, reviewing sales orders, setting up and configuring networks, controlling systems, cameras, and NVRs, updating project documentation, making accurate time clock entries, and ensuring customer service.
Responsibilities
- Projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration
- The management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance
- Meet with project manager to ensure timeline and expectations
- Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
- Responsible for all aspects of onsite installation of AV systems
- Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras and NVRs
- Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
- Accurate time clock entries and job costing
- Make decisions and be held accountable to time and materials
- Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
- Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
- Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws
- On call rotation maybe required
- Local travel to job sites required
Requirements
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in AV installation or a similar industry
- Must possess an understanding of all systems including audio, video, security, lighting, and integration of all installed brands (Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron)
- Must be able to read home schematics, plans or blueprints
- Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards
- Trouble shooting skills are essential
- Prior experience in rough in and trim out work, preferably in custom integration or related industry
- Strong understanding of wiring fundamentals and construction techniques
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to interact courteously with clients and stakeholders
- Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement and system wiring
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems is a plus
- Must pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, security, and lighting

- Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software
