Residential Aide - TRMCC
About the role
This position is flexible and adaptable, assisting with various tasks across different departments. Essential functions include making beds, turning down and getting night clothes, emptying garbage, answering call lights, providing 1:1 checks, assisting with resident lifts, passing room trays, stocking supplies, taking vital signs, and painting nails.
Responsibilities
- Make beds in the morning and prepare residents for their day
- Turn down beds and collect night clothes
- Empty garbage cans and answer call lights
- Perform 15-minute building checks and assist with resident lifts
- Answer phones and doors, escort residents to and from dining areas
- Assist with wheelchair residents and pass room trays
- Ensure rooms are stocked with supplies and labeled
- Remind residents of meal times and activities
- Collaborate with other CNAs on PCC charting, shift reports, and care plans
- Train new employees in the healthcare environment
Requirements
- Freedom from illegal drug use and ability to pass a background check
- Ability to obtain Certified Nurse’s Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must not have a history of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment in a healthcare setting
