Variability in Responsibilities
- Serve as a mentor and role model to students, providing guidance on personal development, goal setting, and decision-making.
- Foster a sense of community within the residential area by organizing and promoting inclusive activities, events, and group discussions.
- Be prepared to handle and respond to any emergency or crisis situations within the residential community, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
- Address conflicts and interpersonal issues among students with empathy and professionalism. Encourage open communication and a positive living environment.
- Enforce and uphold residential policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, clean, and respectful living environment for all students.
- Aid students in developing essential life skills, including time management, budgeting, and effective communication.
- Work closely with other Residential Advisors, academic staff, and support services to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student success.

Qualifications & Experience
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience is required.
- A valid in-state Driver's License is preferred.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
- Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
