About the Role
We are looking for a Residential Administrator to provide daily managerial oversight of Willamette Rose RTF in Portland, Oregon. The Residential Administrator is responsible for the overall operations and success of the program and must coordinate and maintain professional relationships with ColumbiaCare employees, the State of Oregon, and other professional agencies providing services.
The Residential Administrator maintains up-to-date personnel, client, and program records, including accounting of client and facility funds, training and activity records, and medical and health supports. They supervise and evaluate staff, handle staff scheduling to ensure adequate client supervision and support, and must be knowledgeable about personnel policies, OAR, and applicable rules and standards of regulatory agencies such as OSHA.
Work is primarily performed at the program site, but administrators must be accessible by phone for emergency purposes. This position requires on-call availability, which can include working weekends, some overtime, and overnight shifts if there is a business need.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily managerial oversight of the residential treatment facility.
- Maintain professional relationships with ColumbiaCare employees, the State of Oregon, and other agencies.
- Keep up-to-date personnel, client, and program records, including accounting of funds and training records.
- Supervise and evaluate staff, and manage staff scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with personnel policies, OAR, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
- Be accessible by phone for emergencies and available for on-call duties, including weekends and overnight shifts.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration. Eligibility requires one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field);
- Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; or
- Equivalent combination of behavioral science education and satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.
- One (1) year or more of clinical experience working in a setting that provides treatment to individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions; OR
- Two (2) years or more of residential experience working in an operating setting licensed to provide care and services to individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions.
- Prior work experience as a Residential Administrator or proven history as an Assistant Administrator within ColumbiaCare Services.
- Experience supervising union-represented employees is preferred.
- If not already registered as a QMHA through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), registration will be assisted within the first week of employment.
- Driving is an essential function of this position. Must provide a valid driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.
Vocational Training Program
For applicants starting as a QMHA-R, ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate training, on-the-job experiential learning, and test preparation for achieving the 1,000 supervised hours required for QMHA-I certification. This certification can be achieved in as little as 6 months. Participation in this program is optional.
Employees in the optional Vocational Training Program will have additional training expectations to meet QMHA testing requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
- Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable.
- Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.
About the Program
Willamette Rose is a 9-bed Residential Treatment Facility serving adults living with mental illness. The program is partially ADA accessible. Residents can enjoy the privacy of their own bedroom, a private deck, and a partial private bath.
Schedule
Full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position requires on-call availability based on program needs.
Pay
$6,000 - $7,000 per month, depending on experience and credentials. Additional 5% language differential offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates.
