Residential ABA Manager

About the role

The Residential ABA Manager leads, directs, and monitors treatment services for Damar's Children's Residential Intensive Autism Services program. This position promotes agency philosophy and ensures compliance with Damar's Strategic Plan and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees day-to-day residential operations of assigned campus building or group home.
  • Manages all employee functions including on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisals, and performance management.
  • Onboards new staff to align them with Damar's expectations regarding client care, service excellence, active supervision, and adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Completes outing sheets and off-ground checklists to ensure client safety during outings.
  • Remains updated on treatment best practices to proactively meet client needs.
  • Affords appropriate training and certification to IATs related to autism-specific services.
  • Serves as a liaison between IAS and ABA programs.
  • Develops and communicates daily schedules for ABA therapy for IAS clients to the IAS leadership team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years working with adolescents, managing budgets, and understanding state and federal regulations.
  • Proof of one of the following: Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of work experience with behavioral challenges and/or individuals with DD/ID; or 2 years of college and 2 years of work experience; or High school diploma/GED and 4 years of work experience with behavioral challenges and/or individuals with DD/ID.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification and CPR certification.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting Damar’s insurance carrier requirements.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.

  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
