Resident Treatment Technician Security - Temporary
About the role
This is a temporary position limited to 780 hours per fiscal year. The Resident Treatment Technician – Security works alongside ward staff to provide safety and security, leading the work of Resident Treatment Workers (RTWs) as delegated by the Registered Nurse and/or Charge Nurse. They provide a staff presence on the wards, respond to emergency codes, and guide RTW staff through mentoring and training to promote a safe environment.
Responsibilities

- Mentor and train RTW staff in responding to emergency situations
Requirements
- At least 18 months of relevant experience
- Completion of a background check
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience equal to eighteen months of full-time work as a nursing or therapeutic assistant in a health care facility or similar setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An emphasis in nursing and/or the social or behavioral sciences is preferred.
