Responsibilities

  • Supports all aspects of the day-to-day healthcare operation of the assisted living and memory care community.
  • Affords support to management and oversight of business systems such as CarePredict, Eldermark (EHR/EMR), OnShift, Paycor, and McKesson-Orbits.
  • Affords support to incident reporting and investigations as directed.
  • Assumes duties and responsibilities as directed by the Healthcare Director in his/her absence.
  • Interfaces daily with residents and responsible for physical, emotional, and mental well-being of residents.
  • Interfaces with families, reporting any problems, illnesses, or other concerns as directed.
  • Interfaces with doctors, home-health care, and any other agencies or individuals who have contact with the residents as directed.
  • Always ensures the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Handles questions and concerns regarding healthcare operation.
  • Affords assistance to residents and families with questions and concerns regarding non-healthcare related operations and communicates with appropriate department manager.
  • Supports labor and supply budget management.
  • Responsible for management of the AL schedules, hours and overtime.
  • Responsible for ensuring AL staffing is up to date on OnShift.
  • Participates in on call rotation with HCD and MCD.
  • Interface with pharmacy/family to ensure orders are accurate.
  • Affords assistance to Healthcare Director with all AL admissions.
  • New hire training and orientation – ensures process is finalized and coordinates duties effectively according to the company procedures.
  • Coordinates annual and monthly self-medication assessments with Healthcare Director.
  • Coordinates annual assessments and service plans with Healthcare Director.
  • Participates in special job-related assignments as may be requested by the Healthcare Director.

Requirements

  • Maintains current nursing license in Texas.
  • Knowledge and expertise in specific service areas for the community.
  • Understanding of financial parameters, budget creation, and management.
  • Ability to effectively address and resolve both employee, resident and family concerns.
  • Superior customer relations skills.
  • Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
  • Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
