About the role

The Resident Services Aide (RSA) provides compassionate and supportive care to residents in assisted living and memory care divisions. The primary responsibility is to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and certain instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) using a person‑centered care approach that promotes resident choice, purpose, and meaning in daily life. This role requires empathy, patience, and a commitment to enhancing quality of life, and involves being a friendly, familiar face who delivers hands‑on care in a respectful and dignified manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with managing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho‑social well‑being
• Help out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents
• Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
• Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is a plus
• Ability to speak and read English
• Previous experience with the geriatric population, particularly providing assistance with ADLs, is preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines
• Basic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
• Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways
• Must be reliable, caring, and gentle in touch and demeanor
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times

Schedule

Full Time, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday
