As a Resident Service Assistant/Home Health Aide, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents through compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Safeguarding the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents in the Wellness area
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
• Providing support as needed in the Wellness area
• Adhering to all policies and procedures, and following the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness

Full-time Schedule

The full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (Sunday through Thursday).

Qualifications

• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is preferred
• Must be able to speak and read in English
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred, including assistance with ADLs
• Must have a basic understanding of dementia and possess patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
• Must be able to adjust to different personality types and situations in a positive way
• Maintain reliability, care, and gentleness in touch and demeanor
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times
