Resident Services Aide 7AM-3PM Friday and Saturday (Casual Part-Time)

About the role

The Bristal Assisted Living seeks compassionate and dedicated Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to enrich the lives of our residents through thoughtful and dignified care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Safeguarding the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents in the Wellness area
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
• Providing general support to residents as needed
• Adhering to all policies and procedures, and following the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness

Requirements

• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
• Must be able to speak and read in English
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLs
• Must have a basic understanding of dementia and possess patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
• Must be able to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways
• Maintain reliability, care, and gentleness in touch and demeanor
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times

Full-time Schedule

Full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs).
