Resident Services Aide 3PM-11PM Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Safeguarding the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents in the Wellness area
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
• Providing assistance as needed in the Wellness area
• Fulfilling full-time schedule including one weekend shift per week (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs)

Requirements

• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is preferred
• Must be able to speak and read in English
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLs
• Must have a basic understanding of dementia and maintain patience and professionalism
• Must be able to adjust to different personality types and situations in a positive way
• Maintain reliability, care, and gentleness in touch and demeanor
• Must show respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times
