Resident Service Representative
About the role
Ecolab is seeking a Field Technician to join our team in East Chicago, IN. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment with autonomy and support, helping customers meet sustainability goals while protecting their critical assets.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures
- Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Provide routine and special application service support to customers
- Execute required chemistry tests
- Log and report data
- Maintain product inventories
- Provide technical support to customers
- Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed
- Use a fluke meter to check sensitivity
- Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks
Position Details
- Location: Hammond, Cleveland Cliffs Indiana Harbor, East Chicago, IN
- Work week and Shift: Rotating shift work 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Immigration Sponsorship not available for this opportunity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working independently in an industrial setting
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance
- Strong customer service skills; proven ability to interface positively and professionally with the customer
- Analyzing readings and putting data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience explaining results of data gatherings
Physical Requirements of Position
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
- Wearing and using a respirator under certain conditions
- Working in a variety of conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing
- Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $42,000-$63,000. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
