About the role

Talbert, Bright & Ellington, LLC. (TBE) is a full-service, professional aviation engineering firm focused on the planning, design, and construction for airports in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. TBE is seeking a full-time Resident Project Representative (RPR) II to support airfield and landside projects and clients at airports across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary on-site representative for TBE during the construction phase of assigned projects.
  • Monitor and document daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare daily reports, field notes, photo documentation, and quantity tracking for contractor work.
  • Coordinate and participate in construction meetings with airport staff, contractors, and project designers.
  • Review contractor pay applications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Verify quality control measures, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist with materials testing coordination and tracking.
  • Communicate field observations and issues clearly to the design team and airport staff.
  • Support project closeout efforts including punch lists, final inspections, and record drawings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of field inspection experience involving construction contracts or
  • Associate degree in engineering or construction-related field and 5+ years of relevant experience or
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and 2+ years of civil engineering, construction, or inspection experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Effective oral and written communication; ability to work in a team-oriented manner; analytical and organizational skills.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Pay

$75,000 – $115,000 / year
