Resident Project Representative

About the role

The Resident Project Representative is responsible for reviewing construction plans and specifications and providing full-time on-site construction observation services for the firm's water and wastewater construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction plans and specifications
• Providing full-time on-site construction observation services
• Ensuring the project is constructed in general conformance with the plans and specifications

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) or Certification/Licensing in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology or a related field
• Four or more years of direct experience in observation, design, or construction
• Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, county and local codes
• The ability to read, understand, and apply code requirements as they apply to construction situations
• The ability to clearly, accurately, and completely document the completed work, including tracking pay item quantities, as well as identifying defective work
• The ability to work under little or no regular supervision
• The ability to maintain an effective working relationship with builders, contractors, consultants, fellow employees, other departments, and the general public
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and other disciplines
• High level of organizational & time management skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
• Excellent computer skills desired
