Roles and Responsibilities

• Affords patient health through interviews and physical examinations
• Documents patient care in medical records
• Schedules and provides outpatient services
• Maintains ongoing health maintenance and educates patients about health and disease prevention
• Completes continuing medical education and maintains necessary licenses
• Manages and updates patient medical histories
• Collaborates with mid-level providers and clinical pharmacists to develop and implement pain management regimens

Qualifications

• Current DEA license
• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• No outstanding actions from the medical board
• Proven ability to work effectively with staff and the public
• Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to diagnose diseases and health conditions based on clinical interviews, physical examinations, and lab results
• Capable of creating effective treatment plans based on critical thinking and evaluation of various treatment options
