About the role
We're seeking a kind-hearted, mission-driven Resident Lifestyle Specialist to join our team. Whether you're new to caregiving or have years of experience, we support you every step of the way.
Schedule
- Full-Time with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Assigned shifts: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay
Starting at $14.00 to $17.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Initiate and promote a variety of activities both within and outside the facility to stimulate and promote resident interest, communication, and general wellbeing
- Encourage hobbies, instruct and supervise craft activities among residents, in groups or individually, in recreational areas or in residents’ rooms
- Comply with safety regulations and policies
- Assist with parties, provide games, and encourage residents to participate in planning (e.g., making table decorations, wrapping gifts, trimming areas)
- Encourage residents to participate in religious activities through visits with local ministers, attendance at religious services, spiritual reading material, and other means
- Promote intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and other community activities
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to staff, resident, and family inquiries while honoring confidentiality
- Familiarize yourself with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and the Company’s Exposure Control policy
- Assist the Director of Resident Lifestyle/Resident Lifestyle Coordinator with special events and functions
- Supervise and transport residents during indoor and outdoor activities and community outings
- Maintain resident activities documentation and charting as delegated by the Coordinator
- Carry out evening and weekend functions
- Prepare the activity area, equipment, and supplies
- Order, maintain, and store equipment and supplies
- Perform all other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year or less experience in leading and assisting with a variety of activities and programs, preferably with older adults
- Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills in working with residents, employees, families, and the public
- Ability to be flexible, display dedication, sensitivity, patience, honesty, imagination, and resourcefulness
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of safe operation of vehicles when transporting residents
