Resident Engineer / Transportation Construction Inspector

Job Type Full-time Description Fisher Associates is seeking a Resident Engineer / Construction Inspector (NICET IV) to oversee a bridge replacement project in the Town of Eden. Location: Eden, NY Project Duration: 2027 construction season, approx. 6-7 months For Confidential Inquiries Contact Dave Keller Email: dkeller@fisherassoc.com Call or Text: (585) 362-7575 What You Will Do Perform on-site inspections to confirm construction activities match approved plans and codesIdentify and report any deviations from approved plans and specificationsEnsure work complies with local, state, and federal requirementsKeep clear inspection records, including photos and notesPrepare inspection reports and document needed correctionsWork with project teams including contractors, project managers, and engineers to discuss inspection results and address any issuesAttend meetings and provide inspection updatesProvide recommendations to bring non-compliant work up to standardMonitor material quality and workmanshipOversee job sites for safety complianceReport and address any safety hazards or violations promptlyOther duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: NICET Level IV certification or NYSDOT equivalent experienceOSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (required)Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience, with bridge or highway structures experience preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
