About the role

Your impact At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are tendering for the construction supervision of Road and Infrastructure works in Oklahoma. These projects comprise of roadway and structural/bridge improvements in urban and rural settings. As a Resident Engineer (Transportation), you will involve extensive interface management with stakeholders and contractors. You will provide oversight of the construction process to ensure that the construction project is safely and accurately implemented on site adhering to the requirements of the construction contract and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in extensive interface management with stakeholders and contractors
  • Provide oversight of the construction process to ensure safety and accuracy
  • Lead a team in monitoring the progress of construction project and advising steps to achieve project goals
  • Manage and direct a team of support staff and site inspectors for the supervision of the project
  • Report on progress, safety, financial projections, quality control, and changes in the contract work
  • Develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor, and client’s staff
  • Emphasize safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and maintain high quality of construction
  • Lead by example and oversee safe practices on site
  • Report to the Manager of Projects and supervise the project team (inspectors, office engineers etc.)
  • Interface and work daily with the client’s team, project stakeholders, and contractor

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager, or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization
  • Proven experience within large transportation projects in the State of Oklahoma
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship
  • Valid Drivers license and good driving history
  • IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE:
    • A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma
    • ODOT/OTA experience
    • Knowledge/experience with AASHTOWare Project (AWP)

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $95,200.00 to $130,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
