Hybrid position based in Tulsa, OK, requiring in-office presence twice a week.
About the role
Responsible for the administration and observation of construction activities for major road and bridge projects to ensure quality work that meets clients' needs, governmental requirements, and conforms to plans and specifications.
- Work with Project Manager (PM) and Construction Superintendent (CS) to direct internal and subconsultant staff in observation, testing, and sampling of construction materials, as well as documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
- Coordinate construction monitoring with PM and CS to resolve problems, disputes, work scheduling, and prepare contract change orders and supplemental agreements.
- Report project cost and quality control activities to the PM.
- Perform duties on projects involving conventional and complex features, applying professional engineering knowledge and judgment across broad assignments, including project coordination.
- Carry out additional duties as deemed necessary by the PM and client.
Experience working with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Ten years’ experience in a combination of engineering design and construction/construction observation activities, including management and supervision of field personnel.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration required.
- Ability to direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
- ODOT and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ODOT specifications and standards preferred.

Pay
Expected compensation range is between $140,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
