Responsibilities
- Leading construction inspection staff for infrastructure and transportation projects in the New York City Metro Area.
- Acting as a primary field liaison between the Owner and Contractor.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising engineering and construction inspection activities.
- Monitoring construction detailed cost breakdown and construction schedule.
- Serving as the senior representative for the inspection of contractor construction activities, payments, processing, and negotiation of claims and change orders.
- Supervising a staff of personnel consisting of engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, project administrators, and specialty sub-consultants.
- Leading progress meetings and interacting with clients on a daily basis.
- Coordination of responses to Technical Submittals, RFI’s, and other technical issues with design engineers.
- Leading final project closeout documentation.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the infrastructure and/or transit industry managing rail/transit projects, utilities, and structural rehabilitation projects with construction value of min $50M.
- Previous Resident Engineering experience working with public rail infrastructure agencies.
- Familiarity with NY-Area Agency Standards.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Safety standards.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as necessary to properly oversee the project.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain in New York State.
- OSHA 30 Certifications.

Pay
The expected salary for this position is $152,000 - $186,000.
