Resident Engineer

We strive to have a positive impact on developing the infrastructure that keeps our communities running and to be successful in our goals, we’re seeking a Resident Engineer to provide critical construction management support to ensure our projects stay on track.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects related to heavy transportation infrastructure.
- Lead the inspection staff including reviewing daily inspector reports.
- Handle project correspondence and maintain accurate records.
- Produce estimates, assist with the change order process, and review contractor payroll reports.
- Review EEO documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Licensed Professional Engineer plus 8 years of experience, or CCM Certification plus 10 years of experience.
- Field Inspection Experience, substantial professional years experience.
- Supervisory Experience, substantial professional years experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CTDOT construction policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer and mathematical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
