Resident Engineer
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct RE staff (CMC/DBPM) in performance of tasks as described in the client’s construction manual and/or other documents.
- Assure and document training that all CMC/DBPM staff understand and meet the subject contract requirements.
- Respond to the subject project’s contractor correspondence with assistance from staff.
- Conduct all weekly construction progress meetings and other project related meetings.
- Assign CMC/DBPM inspectors to cover the work of the subject project(s) contractors when they are working on contract work.
- Assure inspector performance and documentation of CMC inspectors.
- Monitor subject project contractor’s compliance with its own safety programs and ensure that CMC/DBPM complies with the safety policies.
- Identify potential change issues, develop and track change notices, change orders, negotiate changes as described in the construction manual.
- Review, comment, and approve or disapprove inspector IDR’s, contractor progress payments, contractor construction schedules, NCR’s, and contractor safety and security certification submittals.
- Complete other client required contract close out procedures including the transition from construction to operations forms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field.
- 10-20 years of relevant experience.
- Optional Certifications may include PMP, PE, DBIA and/or any other relevant professional license or certification.
- Performs resident engineering responsibilities as outlined in scope and construction manual.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $240,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
