Resident Engineer

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience with gas industry pipeline construction
• Minimum of 1 year of compressor station construction/repair experience for compression projects preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Supervisory position with pipeline operating companies or pipeline construction contractor preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of college study of Construction Management, Engineering or Accounting preferred
• Knowledge of and experience using Company D&C Manual preferred
• Excellent organizational, scheduling and communication skills
• Must possess good computer skills including proficiency with common desktop software applications including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Excellent organization, communication, and document control skills
• Able to multi-task
• Possess ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures
• Experience with mapping skills for maintaining and updating As-Built conditions
• Able to utilize March charts to analyze earned value
• Able to project cash flows and invoicing based on trending from daily reports
• Able to supervise personnel
• Must possess dispute resolution skills
• Experience and knowledge of applying standard health, safety and environmental requirements on construction projects required

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the Company Safety Culture – Commitment to Zero policy and Stop Work Authority responsibilities
• Continue to gain knowledge of Company D&C Manual content specific to standards and Craft Inspection responsibilities related to individual's inspection and documentation requirements
• Complete all required reports and summaries for the project
• Maintain databases as required for the project
• Utilize march charts and analyze earned value
• Project cash flows and invoicing using trends from daily reports
• Attend project related meetings as required
• Maintain and update As-Built drawings
• Support field and administrative responsibilities of the Chief Inspector
• Act as liaison between the Contractor, Chief Inspector and Company Construction Project manager (CPM)
