Renewal leasing skill set
- Read leasing data to identify where momentum is slipping and adjust approach before occupancy takes a hit
- Work directly with the Property Manager and Regional Manager to set renewal goals and build plans to hit them
- Pull accurate reports in Entrata, spot gaps, and communicate findings to leadership
- Build relationships with university contacts, run guarantor events, and mentor leasing staff through the full leasing cycle from prospect call to signed renewal
Responsibilities
- Lead the property's renewal leasing program and track progress against budgeted occupancy targets
- Coordinate with the Property Manager to monitor leasing activity and support areas showing weakness
- Oversee internet lead response, prospect calls, and property tours conducted by the leasing team
- Assist residents and guarantors through renewal paperwork, move-in, move-out, and lease takeover processes
- Plan and execute renewal parties, guarantor events, and team competitions to drive retention
- Audit lease and renewal files alongside the Leasing Manager for compliance and bonus submission accuracy
- Conduct weekly team meetings, deliver training sessions, and manage staff scheduling
- Participate in property inspections and contribute to upkeep of office and common areas
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities and community organizations

Requirements
- One to two years of multifamily or student housing leasing experience
