Resident Diesel Technican - Southeast Nebraska

About the role

As a Resident Service Technician, you will repair machines to the customer's satisfaction in the field, shop, or customer's location. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing customer machines at their jobsites, using SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems, and research problems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines at customer jobsites
• Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems
• Machinery Inspection
• Machinery Set-Up and Adjustment
• Uses laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports and complete warranty reports
• Uses service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairs

Requirements

• Diesel Tech School Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in a field service technician role, preferred
• Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools required
• Must provide personal tools for position
• Working knowledge of CLAAS parts, a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills / Excellent customer service skills
• Able to read and interpret parts and machine schematics
• Able to travel within region and to be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn
• Must be able to maintain professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a verifiably safe driving history is required
• May require overnight travel and weekend or evening work
