About the role
We are hiring Delivery Drivers to drive a truck over established routes, delivering products to customers in Grand Junction and surrounding areas. This position offers potential growth opportunities within a large, growing company and does not require overnights or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre/post-trip inspection sheets for each vehicle used and notify the DC Operations Manager of discrepancies.
- Check load conditions, maintain load security using approved tools, and reduce product breakage and vehicle damage.
- Maintain security of the load by ensuring the truck bay is locked when away from the vehicle.
- Operate the vehicle safely in accordance with all State and Federal regulations, considering weather and road conditions.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean at the end of each shift.
- Deliver products according to invoices and customer requirements, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Use electronic devices provided by the Company to record start/stop times and comply with DOT Regulations.
- Collect payments based on Company and Colorado state laws, ensuring each invoice is signed by the customer.
- Communicate shortages, overages, and return items to the Distribution Center as necessary.
- Resolve customer issues when possible or escalate them to the Company for resolution.
- Ensure all paperwork is in order, including handling checks and cash collected from routes.
- Complete training assignments (e.g., Worklete, Pro-Tread) in a timely manner.
- Perform duties while monitored via DriveCam and report any changes to driver’s license status or citations.
- Represent the Company professionally by wearing the uniform properly and maintaining a neat appearance.
- Maintain a positive attitude and good work habits.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and current DOT Medical Card.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of smartphones.
