Resident Costume Designer/ Builder
About the role
Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse seeks a resident Costume Designer for their 49th season. The ideal candidate will design, build, create, procure, and maintain costumes and soft goods for nine shows, while contributing to the theater's high artistic standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, create, procure, and maintain costumes and soft goods for nine shows
- Work independently and meet deadlines within the allotted time, budget, and scope
- Maintain Circa ’21’s high level of artistic excellence
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in theatrical design, construction, and maintenance of musicals, plays, and theatre for young audiences
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong portfolio and a passion for theatre design. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
Skills
Strong technical skills in costume design, construction, and maintenance are essential. Proficiency in sewing, pattern making, and fabric selection is required. Experience with theatre for young audiences is preferred.
