Resident Care Director - Wellness Director

This smaller community allows staff to build personal relationships with residents. The Executive Director has served the community for over 10 years.
About the Role
As Director of Nursing at Brookdale, you will lead and manage the clinical team to provide high-quality care for residents. You will build relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate personalized care. Responsibilities include collaborating with community leadership, mentoring associates, and enhancing resident and family satisfaction.
Brookdale supports nurse leaders through a structured six-week orientation, online resources, local nurse mentors, and ongoing collaborative support. Tuition reimbursement is available for professional development, and relocation opportunities exist across nearly 700 communities in 40 states.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day clinical services to ensure residents’ healthcare needs are met.
- Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, and provide quality care as their needs change.
- Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to licensed nurses and direct care staff.
- Role complexity is determined by factors such as community size, product lines, medication management regulations, assessment requirements, licensure, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN.
Requirements
- Education and licensure (LPN/LVN or RN) as required by state regulations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; clinical leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation.

Pay
Base pay is determined by skills and experience. Full-time associates in this role are eligible for annual bonus incentives and sales referral bonuses.
