About the role
The Residential Care Associate position is part of the Clinical Services department and reports directly to the Resident Care Director. This role involves providing direct care to residents, contributing to the care planning process, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities such as lifting, moving, and transporting residents.
- Report care provided and changes in the resident's condition to the Resident Care Director immediately.
- Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and other personnel promptly and courteously.
- Support residents according to their individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment.
- Report incidents or evidence of resident abuse or rights violations to the appropriate staff.
- Perform tasks in accordance with safety and infection control procedures.
- Maintain residents' skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers and other damages.
- Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
- Report occupational exposures and work-related injuries or illnesses to supervisors.
- Participate in training and drills as required.
- Assist with evacuating residents during emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information.
- Report any non-compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in confidentiality.
- Report any suspicions of crime to law enforcement and the state agency.
Requirements
- Annual Health Requirements: Negative TB skin test, MMR, and Chicken Pox vaccinations.
- Work Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, ability to work well with peers, and adherence to business conduct standards.
Salary
$17.50-$18.50/hour
