Resident Care Aide

Salary: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour, based on experience. Shift differential available for Evenings, Nights, and Weekend Shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a caregiving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
