Resident Assistant - Northbrook Inn

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Caregiver to join our Resident Services Department at Northbrook Inn! Full-time opportunity! Earn between $20 and $22/hour, dependent on experience! Multiple Shifts! CNA Certification Program! We pay all of the costs to get you certified! Find a career with us!

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire
• Must have ability to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations

What You'll Do

Aid residents with activities of daily living, engage in meaningful conversations, socialize, and participate in activities while providing personal care assistance. Respond promptly to resident needs and assist with care as necessary. Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents. Observe and report on resident health and behavior changes, and perform other duties as assigned.
