Resident Assistant (Memory Care)
About the role
At Sagora Senior Living, we are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Assistant to join our team. This role involves helping residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and mobility, ensuring their well-being and maintaining their dignity and independence.
Responsibilities
- Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
- Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
- Participate in programming for residents
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
- Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
- Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CNA certification is a plus, but not required
- Experience with dementia care preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other associates in English
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about serving others and making a positive impact. No prior experience is necessary, but a strong commitment to the residents and a willingness to learn is essential.
Skills
While not required, having a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification can be beneficial. Additionally, experience with dementia care is preferred but not mandatory.
