Resident Assistant

About the role

Responsible for providing compassionate care to residents in a residential care setting. Duties include assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Affectionately known as the “resident’s best friend,” assist residents with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Monitor residents’ health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for each resident.
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance caregiving skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Experience in a caregiving or related field preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
