Position Summary

The Resident Assistant provides direct, hands-on support to residents by assisting with activities of daily living and promoting comfort, safety, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and feeding
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to residents
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, cognitive, or emotional condition
• Encourage independence while ensuring resident safety and dignity
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of direct care experience - Memory care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
