Resident Aide, Part Time, Evenings

What You'll Do

• Aid in resident transports throughout the facility and to/from medical appointments as assigned.
• Pass fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the nursing staff, such as bed-making for empty beds only, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, and answering call lights and resident’s alarms.
• Attend facility offered feeding assistant course as scheduled (expected competency to assist feeding residents as assigned).
• Conduct other non-technical duties as directed by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor, or Nurse Care Coordinator.
• Attend all required in-services and adhere to department and facility policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care and employee information and comply with HIPAA and HIV regulations.

Education/Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Light Work: Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• Frequent grasping, hearing, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking.
• Occasional balancing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, lifting, pulling, seeing/monitor/computer use.

• Bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure

• Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis.

USD $16.00/Hr.
