Resident Aide

About the role

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care to residents in Clinton Township, MI. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping.
• Report any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Schedule

Resident Aides will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.
