Residence Inn - Breakfast/ Buffet Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role

The Residence Inn Virginia Beach Town Center, opened in early 2019, is the newest and roomiest addition to the Town Center market. The hotel features 120 all‑suite rooms, meeting space, an indoor pool, and an outdoor patio with grills and a firepit. Located in Virginia Beach’s Central Business District, it is surrounded by a vibrant and growing business community. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving the free breakfast bar and evening social Mix, greeting each guest at breakfast, and ensuring 100 % guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Work the evening social Mix on Monday‑Wednesday, 5 pm‑8 pm.
• Work the breakfast shift beginning at 5:30 am.
• Set up and maintain the breakfast or evening social Mix bar in an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation.
• Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day.
• Order or purchase food supplies.
• Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates.
• Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
• Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products.
• Arrange cold food items (sweet rolls, muffins, cereal) for self‑service.
• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
• Wipe up spills.
• Remove trash.
• Restock self‑service food and supplies as needed.
• Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
• Break down the breakfast/evening Mix area.
• Return reusable food supplies to storage.
• Listen to and respond to guests’ requests or complaints.

Qualifications

• At least six (6) months of previous restaurant experience that includes breakfast service.
• Willingness to work early‑morning shifts.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Schedule

• Breakfast shift starting at 5:30 am.
• Evening social Mix shift Monday‑Wednesday, 5 pm‑8 pm.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
