Residence Counselor- Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive counseling
• Teach daily living skills including medication management and coping skills
• Crisis intervention and prevention
• Recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction
• Maintain a healthy and clean environment for clients
• Avoid personal care and physical restraints
• Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging
• Provide transportation to clients using agency vehicles

Requirements

• College classes in human services, BA preferred
• Demonstrated ability in helping others
• Valid and insurable driver's license
• Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience
• The ability to work independently and as a team member
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• The ability to be organized and have good time management skills

Skills/Qualifications

• BA in human services preferred
• Valid and insurable driver's license

Benefits

• $22.08/hour; 20 hours per week; $22,963.20/annual equivalent plus benefits
