As a Reservoir Engineer Advisor III, you will bring your deep technical knowledge and innovative mindset to support drilling initiatives in the Permian, Eagle Ford, Hainesville, Appalachia, and beyond. Your insights into reservoir simulation, risk assessment, and economic analysis will be invaluable as we ramp up drilling activities and drive growth in these key regions.
Responsibilities
- Apply deep technical knowledge to support drilling initiatives in unconventional reservoirs.
- Perform reservoir modeling, simulation (especially Combo Curve), and technical evaluations.
- Lead complex technical projects and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Facilitate team collaborations and influence stakeholders at all levels through excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Conduct reservoir management practices, PVT studies, and core analysis.
- Support large-scale drilling and field development projects.
- Participate in peer reviews and technical audits of reservoir models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in unconventional reservoirs within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven expertise in reservoir modeling and simulation.
- Strong understanding of reservoir management practices, PVT studies, and core analysis.
- Ability to lead complex technical projects and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
- Commitment to ethical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with reservoir evaluation in the Delaware and Permian basins.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in oil & gas operations.
- Advanced proficiency in software tools such as Combo Curve and other reservoir simulation programs.
- Prior involvement in peer reviews and technical audits of reservoir models.
