About the Role

A friendly, ambitious research group at the Pennsylvania State University is looking for someone to help define how large-scale genomic data analysis is done from a web browser.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science or an academic field related to computer science
• Knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework and ecosystem, Bootstrap, Git + GitHub, CI tools
• Familiarity with Python and REST APIs
• Great communication skills and interest in working with other teammates
• Familiarity with the basics of genomics, such as concepts, data types, tools

Qualifications

• Active candidate for a terminal degree in an academic field related to computer science

Skills

• Experience with modern web technologies, such as Vue.js
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Ability to work in a small team focused on specific tasks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
