Research Technician - Danbury Hospital Research Lab - Danbury, CT

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly document research activities in the lab book as outlined in the approved SOPs.
• Operates data collection or laboratory equipment and performs initial data analysis and interpretation.
• Evaluates, recommends, and develops new techniques to assist in overall biomedical research at the Research Institute.
• Counsels and trains junior laboratory staff as needed.
• Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs and summary reports of all procedures and results including graphs, scientific calculations, and statistical analysis charting.

Requirements

• Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of experience
• Working knowledge of statistics and biological methodologies
• Functional/Technical Skill Requirements: Experience in standard molecular biology/nucleic acid-based protocols, including DNA and RNA Isolation and Purification, PCR, Electrophoresis, ELISA, Western Blotting. Basic organizational, communication, and computer skills for simple analyses. Displays determination and self-motivation.
